I am a female brown and white am pit bull ter mix. The shelter thinks I am about 5 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 12/30/2016 from NY 11238, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

01/15/17 Recheck CIRDC – has been on Baytril 3 days. O: BARH. mm=pink, moist, CRT<2 s. Active and social, eating well. EENT: No oculonasal discharge, no sneezing. H/L: HR=80, RR=32. Dry, hacking cough, brought up clear phlegm. Lungs clear. ABD: palpation WNL. MS: Amb x 4, no lameness. Mildly thin condition. INTEG: Wounds on pinnae and face dry, granulating well, no swelling. A: CIRDC – stable on Baytril, appetite and activity level great. Appears thin but weight on 2 week recheck recorded as the same as on initial. P: Continue Baytril injections as planned. Recheck exam and weight on 1/19/17. Excellent prognosis. 01/14/17 Started baytril injections two days ago due to signs of CIRDC not improving S/O: BAR. Active, attention seeking, allows all handling. Eating with excellent appetite EENT: Eyes clear, minimal mucoid nasal discharge, wounds to ears healing well HL: Mild cough A: CIRDC improving P: Day 7 recheck scheduled for tomorrow. Continue with current treatment and monitoring plan. excellent prognosis 01/12/17 Day 7 of doxy, recheck CIRDC S/O: BAR. Attention seeking, allows all handling. Excellent prognosis 01/09/17 Recheck wounds on ears and face. O: BARH. mm=pink, moist, CRT<2 s. Active, eating well. Dog has removed e-collar. EENT: No ocular discharge, no nasal discharge or sneezing. H/L: No coughing. INTEG: Wounds on muzzle and ears clean, dry, no bleeding. Full thickness pinna laceration distal 3 cm of AS is granulating well. A: Healing wounds. Ear lac. AS may need suturing in the future. CIRDC resolving quickly. P: Keep e-collar off for now. KNOWN HISTORY: Limited Unaltered female, Stray Bite history: Yes. Dobby bit another dog and the dog’s owner while the other dog was out on a walk. Dobby also received bite wounds. Details are limited, but the other dog required surgery and the owner was bitten on the leg, leaving one puncture wound. Other notes: Upon intake Dobby was relaxed and loose-bodied. SAFER ASSESSMENT: 1/5/17 Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted. His ears are back, his tail is down, and he has a relaxed body posture. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, with a low wagging tail and a relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog does not respond at all for three seconds. His eyes are averted and his ears are relaxed. Toy: 1. Minimal interest in Toy, dog smells, then turns away. Summary: Dobby displayed a medium level of energy. She was friendly and relaxed towards the assessor and the assistant. DOG-DOG INTERACTION ASSESSMENT: Summary PLAYGROUP: Summary MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 12/30/17 During her initial medical examination, Dobby was friendly and affectionate and allowed all handling. ENERGY LEVEL: RECOMMENDATIONS: Experience (suitable for an adopter with some previous dog experience) Note: Dobby has been social with her human handlers in the care center, but due to her previous bite we recommend extreme caution around other dogs to keep everyone safe.

BCS 3/5 EENT: Moderate dental tartar, mild gingivitis, eyes clear, no ocular or nasal discharge, no otitis H/L: Normal thoracic auscultation ABD: Normal abdominal palpation M/S: Ambulatory x 4, no apparent lameness INTEG: Full thickness laceration at distal 1/2 of left pinnae, full thickness laceration ~2cm at distal right pinnae, minor wounds at dorsal muzzle and left upper lip U/G: Intact female, mild vulvar swelling, very mild blood tinged vaginal discharge A: Reported to be stray dog that attacked an owned dog while it was on a walk — Bite wounds to ears and muzzle P: Cleaned wounds with nolvasan, wounds started bleeding profusely and was controlled with quick stop and pressure. Placed bandage around both ears and head. Gave rimadyl 100mg po and clavamox 312.5mg PO. Rec rimadyl 100mg po q24 x 5 days and clavamox 312.5mg po q12 x 10 days. Recheck tomorrow. Excellent prognosis
