07/05/17 11:26 Basic information Diva is a 5 year old female black and white medium size dog with no known medical conditions. Owner has had diva for 5 years and is surrendering because they are moving to a home that does not allow pets. Socialization Diva has lived with children ages 12 and 16 and is very relaxed and playful. Diva plays gently with both children and adults but does like to jump up on people sometimes. Around strangers Diva is friendly and outgoing. Diva has not lived with cats and behavior is not known for interacting with them. Diva has lived with another dog and was respectful and playful with the dog. Around dogs outside Diva will bark and play bow at them but also growls sometimes. Diva plays gently with dogs. Diva does not have a bite history. Behavior Diva isn’t bothered when having her food bowl touched or having bones and treats taken away. When taking toys away Diva will tug back trying to play with you. During storms and fireworks Diva is calm. Diva isnt bothered when being pushed off furniture or being held and restrained. Diva enjoys getting bathes and being brushed. Diva isn’t bothered when having her nails trimmed. When someone unfamiliar approaches the house Diva will bark but greet them excitedly when entering. For the new family to know Diva was described as affectionate playful and shy with a high activity level. Diva enjoys playing with soft toys and rubber toys and knows how to play fetch. Diva is house trained. Diva goes on walks 3 times a day and prefers to go to the bathroom on grass. Diva pulls on the leash but when off the leash stays close by. For exercise Diva goes to the park twice a month. When home with Diva she will follow you around. Diva eats Purina dry food three times a day. Diva knows the commands sit, stay, come paw, stop and go. When ts time for bed Diva will sleep anywhere. Behavior during intake. Diva was social during intake. She came up to the counselor with a loose wiggly body. Diva allowed to be scanned and collared with no problem. Diva enjoyed being pet and getting a lot of attention. She was sweet and allowed all handling.
