Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Ditmas was surrendered into the shelter as a stray on 8/10/16, while in client care Ditmas was described as friendly and relaxed. Behavior during intake Ditmas allowed all handling. During SAFER Ditmas was relaxed and had a loose body posture when interacting with the assessor, she allowed all handling items to be conducted though a bit fearful. Ditmas was relaxed with her body a bit low interaction during the tag interaction, during the resource portion of the assessment. Ditmas was easy to handle when engaged with the item. Ditmas appears to be sociable; she displayed some fearful behavior due to the environment. Please note that behavior may change when Ditmas is more comfortable and settled in a home environment, In addition, we recommend that introductions are done slowly, and Ditmas be given the opportunity to interact at her own pace, so the behavior department feels Ditmas can be suitable with an “Experience” adopter.
