01/09/2017 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
KNOWN HISTORY: N/A Unaltered, Stray SAFER ASSESSMENT: Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor’s, eyes soft or squinty, soft and loose body, open mouth. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game. He is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. Squeeze 1: 2. Dog quickly pulls back his paw. Squeeze 2: 2. Dog quickly pulls back his paw. Toy: 3. Dog takes toy away, keeps a firm hold. His body is stiff. Summary: Dino was very distracted throughout the assessment, sniffing the floor and walls and not responding to the assessor. Because he remained so aloof, we cannot be certain if any other behavior is suppressed as a result of the shelter environment. DOG-DOG INTERACTION ASSESSMENT: Selective: These dogs can succeed with certain other dogs, but may be more selective or picky. They may dislike certain ‘types’ of dogs or styles of dog play so they may require extra supervision when interacting with other dogs. PLAYGROUP: 1/7: When off leash with male and female dogs of all sizes Dino is tolerant of greeting but mostly keeps to himself. He does not play when solicited and may attempt to mount a female after a lengthy interaction. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 1/7/17 During his initial medical exam Dino displayed a high amount of energy and allowed all handling, ENERGY LEVEL: RECOMMENDATIONS: Experience (Suitable for an adopter with a previous amount of dog experience) _X_No young children (under 5) Potential challenges: _X_Resource guarding (We cannot be certain whether any guarding or possessive behavior may appear in a home environment, but we recommend adopters comfortable with safe management and modification of guarding behavior in case it does.)

01/07/2017 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
1/7: When off leash with male and female dogs of all sizes Dino is tolerant of greeting but mostly keeps to himself. He does not play when solicited and may attempt to mount a female after a lengthy interaction. The behavior department recommends slow introductions between Dino and polite resident dogs. 1/8: Dino explores the yard and offers correction when solicited by a pushy female.
