11/29/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: My first walk of the day and I’m already in love with this sweet boy. So quiet in his kennel, his inviting soft face is welcoming. He’s leashed easily, and out we go. Sweet and placid on leash, his first stop is taking care of his ‘business’, and we’re off to the park. Dijon is a ‘stop and smell the roses’ kind of a walker, happily sniffing his way as we go. When he’s ready to step up his pace, he’s fabulous on leash, his stride elegant and sure. He stops to look at other dogs passing, wags his tail at a small dog, and in his first group play session, is tolerant of other dogs but doesn’t engage in play. Not interested in treats or toys, Dijon is happy sitting by my side as I take some notes, enjoys petting, and is a quiet, respectful and easy companion. He’s been gorgeously taken care of, his coat is lush and soft, and his weight perfect for his size. Later in the day when I passed his kennel, he gave me a tail wag and a quick, quiet woof that another outing might be nice. I couldn’t agree more, so out we go again! I love this sweet, soft, unassuming, gentle dog and know that you will too. There’s nothing like a senior for easy comfort and companionship. He would be my choice, shouldn’t he be yours? He hopes so, and so do we.
