01/04/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Young Dexter’s such a cool and dapper gent. In a stylish winter coat, he’s quite the draw, turning heads and breaking hearts wherever he goes. A bit of a slowpoke by nature, after business is done his main hobbies are sniffing every tree, leaf and stick he can find, and getting friendly with his fellow dogs. As soon as another pup comes into view, Dexter is riveted. Rather than plodding along as usual, he puts his compact muscles to use, pulling to be as close to his new pal as possible, tail a-quiver with happy anticipation. In playgroup, he’s calm in his approach and just indulges in some casual sniffing. I guess a guy can’t let his rep slip from classy to clownish just like that, but there’s no doubt that finding a forever family with another canine sibling would be something Dexter could really dig. He’s not one to seek out cuddles, though he enjoys petting as much as the next dog, and when I bring him back to his den and shut the door, he props his feet up and pleads with his pretty eyes for a few more minutes of freedom. I can’t give him more than those few minutes, but I’m sure there’s a family out there who can offer this good boy a lifetime of loving loyalty. If you’ve been searching for a handsome, low-key companion who’ll draw admiring comments wherever he goes, then look no further, Dexter is your dog!
