Destiny
**RETURNED FROM ACC FOSTER **
Hello, my name is Destiny. My animal id is #17581. I am a desexed female white dog at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 5 years old.
I came into the shelter as a stray on 03-Jan-2018.
Let’s get to know each other a bit more…
A volunteer writes: I went to the pet store today before my next visit with Destiny, tomorrow, to buy an XXXX size coat to perfectly fit her waist. Not that she seemed to mind the cold much. May be little booties are in order, too, as she was not happy to have snow melting salt eating at her toes. Destiny is a chunky mama. She smelled and spotted right away my home made cookies in my bag…and they were on a bench, in the cold. She loves treats, understandably. She loves the ball, too, and believe me, if you adopt Destiny, a good ball game or two a day, combined with a proper diet, will have her slim like a Barbie doll in no time. She is a player and an active one. Of course, there are some people (like me) who adore tubby pooches, as there is only more to love. Destiny is a good walker, likely house trained, civil with other dogs met and proper in playgroups with her peers as long as they are well mannered. She likes quiet time with her caretaker, sits nicely by my feet and enjoys caresses while watching people going in and out of our waiting room. I really like dogs who are a mix of lively, playful and sweet. Destiny is a good example of it and that what makes of her a most wonderful candidate as a new forever best friend. Come and meet Destiny at the Manhattan Care Center. She is waiting for you.

Upon intake Destiny was barking in the lobby. When brought into the admissions room she will bark but not that much. Her bark appeared to be anxious and not fearful. While she was petted and rubbed she was quiet and will lay down. She allowed bring collared and scanned for a microchip which was negative. She wasn’t interested in treats but she does pull hard on a leash. Client stated she ate wet food pedigree and wasn’t around children. She used the bathroom once indoors and outdoors. In the client house for the night she mostly slept.
