07/15/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: This oh so very handsome brindle boy was trying to catch my eye as I walked by his kennel and he succeeded! Never being one to turn down a handsome date, I happily leashed Denum and out we go. He pulls slightly on the leash in his happiness to be out to go potty (which he did immediately), and after a short walk we head into the backyard. Tennis ball? Sure thing! Toy? Don’t mind if I do! Water from the hose? Bring it on! It was so hot that bouncing around in the hose became Denum’s favorite activity and I was so tempted to join him. He had the best time and it was adorable to watch. While he loved the ball and toy it was too hot to do much running. Joining me on the bench for some quick cuddles, Denum is still trying to figure out what he’s doing in this strange new place without his family. He’s been gorgeously taken care of, his weight is perfect for his size, and while we’re told he’s 8 years old he neither acts it nor looks it. Forever young – my kind of date! When I passed his kennel later in the day he was quietly resting on his bed and gave he a little tail wag of hello. Mr. Gorgeous, I mean Denum, is hoping to find his forever date. Absolutely brindlicious, he’s hoping you’ll stop by today.
