06/28/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Crystal has swept me off my feet! Despite her size, she has been very easy to handle and mild-mannered during all of our outings. She walks nicely on leash, seems housebroken, and eagerly “sit”s for treats. She was surrendered with a large male dog, has been a mom, and has seemed curious and friendly when we’ve encountered other dogs through a fence. When I toss her a toy she shows fleeting interest — bounding after it but returning empty-mouthed and opting to hop up on the bench with me instead, where she promptly lays across my lap like we’ve known each other forever! She is very cuddly, loves belly rubs and gives kisses. She is SUCH a wonderful, sweet, adorable chunky lady that she could be a legend…the baby hippo that walks on a leash! Maybe you could be the lucky one on the other end…she’d love to meet you at Brooklyn ACC!
