Medical Behavior Evaluation No Initial Behavior
MEDICAL: 9/3: CBC / Chemistry / TT4 results; Chemistry- All WNL – Creatinine low end of normal 0.6 (0.5-1.8); CBC – PLT 89 (148-484), othewise WNL ; R/o low platelets due to clotting; DVM Intake Exam 9/2/17; Estimated age: ~10yrs, female; Microchip noted on Intake? No; History : stray brought in by NYPD, possibly HBC reported, no witnesses; Subjective: Observed Behavior – QARH. allows all handling: Objective P = WNL R = WNL BCS 6/9; EENT: Nuclear sclerosis, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted; Oral Exam: severe dental tartar/gingivitis; PLN: No enlargements noted; H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic, occasional cough; ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated; slightly distended, tense; U/G: Female, no spay scar seen; small umbilican hernia; MSI: Ambulatory x 4, lameness of RF and RH limb, abrasion at RF digit 3, skin free of parasites, healthy hair coat, ~0.5cm mass at top of head with sebum expressed; ~2cm soft mass just right of umbilicus near mammary gland; CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities; Assessment: Geriatric, dental disease, lameness – R/O arthritis vs trauma vs other, coughing, wound, mass (2) – sebaceous cyst at top of head, soft mass on abomen – R/O lipoma vs other; Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC. Rec rimadyl 25ml PO q12 x 5 days. CBC/Chem/T4 scheduled for tomorrow; Prognosis: Good — open pending diagnostics; SURGERY: permanently waived due to age
PROFILE:
Creme is a 10 year old brown and white female dog. She came to the center as a stray. During intake, Creme wandered around the office, sniffing around. She allowed to be collared and scanned.
PLAYGROUP:
Crème was surrender as astray so her past behavior with other dogs is unknown.
9/02: When off leash at the Care Center, Crème greets a group of small male and female dogs with a soft body. She mostly explores her surroundings, keeping to herself.
