By the time he arrives at BACC he was paraplegic. Subjective: BARH Observed Behavior – Very nice for all medical handling Objective P = 120 bpm R = eupneic BCS: 5/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted Oral Exam: clean adult dentition PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: MI, 2 testicles descended MSI: paraplegic, MCS 3/3, BCS 5/9 skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat CNS: mentation appropriate, paraplegic and dragging hindlimbs. FL wnl. HL-absent CP, withdrawal present, deep pain present bilaterally. panniculus around T11-T13 region, pain begins around T13-L1 region. CN normal. anal tone present. dribbling urine. Rectal: anal tone present, otherwise not performed Assessment: 1) paraplegic-r/o IVDD Plan: 1) rimadyl 2mg/kg PO BID x7d 2) ok for surgery 3) trace MC 4) Consider neuro consult as this disease has progressed quickly and could become much worse Prognosis: fair SURGERY: Okay for surgery
