04/29/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Corey came in as a stray, so her past behaviors in a home are unknown. At intake it was reported Corey was barking and growling, limited handling was allowed. During SAFER Corey came into the assessment room anxious and panting, she was not interested with the assessor. Not all handling items were able to be conducted as Corey growled and tried to bite at the assessor when attempting to put the leash on her. She displayed no interest in the toy item during this portion of the assessment. In light of this behavior we feel that placement with a rescue who can provide positive reinforcement-based behavior modification is the best option at this time. Toy: 1. No interest. Dog-dog: Corey was more tolerant of other dogs today but would still correct for behavior that made her uncomfortable.
04/27/2016 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
Corey came in as a stray so her past behavior with other dogs is unknown. When off leash with other dogs at the Care Center, Corey does not wish to interact and corrects dogs that come near her. 4/28- 5/1 update: Corey was more tolerant of other dogs today but would still correct for behavior that made her uncomfortable. Otherwise she explores her surroundings and interacts with the handler.
