10/22/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
10/22/16 08:13 Basic Information: Constantine was found as a stray on 10/22/16. She was tied to a pole in a park. Her finder stated when he approached he was fearful and tried to hide. Once he got closer and untied her she allowed him to pet her and walked on the leash without pulling. Behavior during intake: Constantine allowed me to pet her, collar her and take pictures. She took treats gently. He tail was low and when she heard a door close or something drop she would flinch or try to hide. she showed no signs of aggression.
10/23/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Constantine lays very quietly and immobile in her kennel. She hopes not to be noticed and to be left alone…She is hard to pass over though, as she is so lovely.. Constantine is leashed easily. She is quite compliant although clearly would prefer not to deal with this new strange world…She walks pretty well, tail very close to her body. She most often tries to avoid my eyes but my voice catches at time her attention and our gazes meet. Free in a pen, she paces and paces, eliminates and paces more. She does not take commands but accepts my caresses as I have her leashed by my side. She nears other dogs fine in the street but a face to face generates a faint rumble in her throat. Constantine is for now a lost soul, wondering what on earth just happened to her and at the age of 7. She is very pretty, owns a perfect coat and looks pretty healthy. A stop at the groomer would make her look like a star. Constantine needs a home and a master to love. Come and meet her soon at the Manhattan Care Center.
