I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 05/31/2016 from NY 10455, owner surrender reason stated was OWN EVICT. I came in with Group/Litter #K16-059562.

5/31/16 15:50 Basic information: A1075741 Gotti, A1075743 Cody and A1075744 Pikaia. They were all born in the Owner’s home. The owner surrendered Gotti Cody and Pikaia because of personal problems. Gotti, Cody and Pikaia were last taken to a vet a year ago to be altered. Socialization: Around strangers Gotti, Cody and Pikaia are fearful and will bark at strangers. They have not lived with children between the ages of 3 months they are relaxed and playful around the children. Gotti, Cody and Pikaia have never been around other dogs so the owner has no idea how they would behave around them. Gotti, Cody and Pikaia have never bitten anyone. Behavior: The owner stats that Gotti, Cody and Pikaia are not bothered when some moves their food or treats while they are eating, when someone takes their toys away or when someone disturbs them while sleeping. They all like to be brushed and given bathes and having their nails trimmed. When an unfamiliar person or animal approaches a family member or their home they will growl and bark at the person until they leave. The owner says that Gotti, Cody and Pikaia are not bothered by loud noises such as storms or fireworks. For a new family to know: The owner describes Gotti, Cody and Pikaia as shy and playful with medium activity levels. Their favorite activity is to play fetch with the owner. In the home they tend to follow the owner around the house and is kept mainly indoors. Gotti, Cody and Pikaia sleep in the bedroom with the owner. Gotti, Cody and Pikaia were fed Pedigree small bites dry dog food two times a day. They are house trained and has never had an accident in the home and are also wee wee pad trained (pads left in the living room), when outside they go to the bathroom on or around trees and grass. For exercise Gotti, Cody and Pikaia are used to brisk walks on the leash and twice a day and do not pull on the leash. Behavior during intake: Gotti, Cody and Pikaia were very tenses with stiff bodies, when approached by staff they all growled and barked at the staff member, owner was able to assist us, scanned (-), collared, pictured and placing in dog kennel.

Cody came into our center along with two other small dogs as an owner surrender. It is reported he is fearful around strangers, will bark and growl. Owner reports Cody is not bothered if anyone touches his Food, Toys, Treats. He is reported housebroken to go outside and also indoors on wee wee pads. Owner describes him as shy and playful. During intake, Cody was stiff and tense, growled and barked at staff. He raised his lip and growled during Look item, therefore remaining tactile portions of the assessment were skipped. Cody showed no interest in Toy, though this may be due to environment as owner reports his favorite activity is to play fetch. When off leash with other dogs, Cody approaches and greets with a soft body and wagging tail. Cody must be placed with a New Hope partner. Look: 5. Dog raises lip/growls Toy 1: No interest. Dog-dog: When off leash with other dogs, Cody approaches and greets with a soft body and wagging tail.
