A volunteer writes:

Little Cobb had already seen a bit too much of the world when he arrived on our doorstep; tick-ridden, lethargic and definitely not feeling his best, but fast forward a few days and he’s now tick free and fancy free! I can see Cobb’s not thrilled about being stuck in a kennel and his eyes light up when he spots the leash in my hand. Before I can say ‘come’ he’s up and trotting along with his head held high, quickly taking care of his business on the nearest tree and greeting other dogs of all sizes with polite good manners as they pass. In the park he likes to explore but never strays too far from my side and is such a compliant little model for our photo shoot, letting me hold his head in my hand and even turn him around for a better angle, an Instagram star in the making! Cobb is a sweet young guy looking to make a well-deserved fresh start and he’ll be a wonderful, calm companion for almost any home. Ask to meet him today!

For more information on adopting from the NYC AC&C, or to find a rescue to assist, please read the following: http://urgentpodr.org/adoption-info-and-list-of-rescues.

If you are local to the Tri-State, New England, and the general Northeast United States area, and you are SERIOUS about adopting or fostering one of the animals at NYC ACC, please read our MUST READ section for instructions, or email helpdogs@urgentpodr.org. Our experienced volunteers will do their best to guide you through the process.

* We highly discourage everyone from trusting strangers that send them Facebook messages, offering help, for it has ended in truly tragic events.*
