06/24/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO
06/24/17 13:18 Basic Information Cloud, a four year old, white and brown, medium sized male dog was found running around in the streets. Finder stated she found him not too far from where she lives and has had him for three days. Finder also stated that she is giving him up because she lacks the space in her apartment to accommodate him. Cloud presented with no signs of illness or injury. Socialization According to finder, Cloud is friendly and outgoing around strangers. He had spent time with children age 3 months and 12 years and is relaxed and gentle when playing with them. Cloud is gentle and somewhat exuberant when playing with adults. He spent time with a three month old female dog and was relaxed, playful and respectful. He is gentle and exuberant when playing with other dogs. According to finder, Cloud never bit another animal or a human all the while she had him. Behavior Finder stated that Cloud poops and urinates indoors; is friendly when she touched his food bowl while he was eating and in fact licked her hand when she attempted to take away treat or toy from him. According to finder, Cloud was excited when she bathed him. For a New Family to know Finder described Cloud as friendly, affectionate and playful with high energy level. She loves him so much because he is very gentle and affectionate with the kids. Cloud likes to play with squeaky toys and was kept mostly indoors and slept in the back of the house. Cloud was fed wet and dry food (Pedigree) three times daily for three days. Cloud had accidents on a daily basis and usually goes potty outside on grass and cement. When left alone in the house, Cloud goes potty indoors and is well behaved when left alone in the yard. Finder added, however, that he would bark at strangers walking by or close to the yard. Cloud is not crate trained and knows the commands ‘come’ and ‘sit’. For exercise, finder stated she gave Cloud brisk walks on a leash and that he would usually pull very had on his leash. And that he stays close by your side when off leash. Behavior during Intake Cloud had a relaxed body with his tail wagging (but barked and pulled on leash upon seeing another dog) and allowed to be collard, photographed and put in a kennel.
06/27/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: It was a beautiful cloudless summer morning, and the best and brightest cloud of all was snuggled on my lap. A tiny wisp of a boy, Cloud was found wandering the streets with his friend Cookie (A1116388). Both were taken in by a kind person and then brought to our care. We’re told that Cloud was gentle with the children in the home (ages 3mos. and 12yrs), is gentle and exuberant when playing with other dogs (in groups he’s been polite and tolerant with males and females), doesn’t guard his stuff, enjoyed a bath, is affectionate and gentle. Cloud bears the physical signs of poor care, but his sweet and calm personality attest to the love he has for all. He loves to snuggle close, buries his head into my chest, reaching up to give me kisses. He’s too thin, so we’re feeding him an extra meal daily, and with exercise and TLC he will blossom into one rockstar gorgeous dog. As thin as Cloud is, he takes treats gently and respectfully, watching quietly as I reach into my bag for another. Cloud pottied outside, but may need some housetraining reminders as he adjusts to his new home. The pads on Cloud’s paws are a bit tender, and as some of the streets around us are being repaved and are rough with lots of loose gravel, I carried him over the rough spots and got kisses as my reward!! As I sat down in the park to take some notes, Cloud jumped up to lie beside me, quietly watching the park’s activities unfold in front of us as he inched closer onto my lap. There’s nothing like snuggling with a cloud, and Cloud is the best snuggler around. In his new home, rich with love and nutritious food, he will be the best friend you never knew you needed. Come meet him and you’ll see.
