Clifford
Hello, my name is Clifford. My animal id is #9771. I am a male red brown dog at the Brooklyn Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 3 years 1 weeks old.
I came into the shelter as a stray on 14-Oct-2017.
Clifford 9771 is at risk for a respiratory infection (CIRDC). Behaviorally, Clifford has allowed all handling in the care center. He can become easily overstimulated and will attempt to mount handlers as well as dogs in playgroup. We recommend an experienced adopter who can work with him on impulse control.

BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION:: EXPERIENCE (suitable for an adopter with some previous dog experience, especially with the behaviors outlined below)
Behavior Asilomar: TM – Treatable-Manageable
Recommendations:: No young children (under 5)
Recommendations comments:: Due to the behavior observed in the care center. We feel that Bentley may intimidate young children.
Potential challenges: : Other
Potential challenges comments:: Clifford was observed to become a bit overstimulated at times, attempting to mount handlers. He has shown a low threshold for arousal and needs guidance to learn how to appropriately channel that energy when he becomes overstimulated. We can not be certain if this behavior will continue outside of the care center.
