Hello, my name is Cinta. My animal id is #11306. I am a male brown dog at the Brooklyn Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 3 years 1 weeks old.
I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 31-Oct-2017, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- moving.
Cinta is at risk due to being diagnosed with Canine Infection Respiratory Disease Complex and will likely require home rest and a series of antibiotics for up to 14 days. This is a contagious illness to other dogs. Cinta score an Average on her behavior assessment (safer)

Symmetric hard swelling of mid mandible Observed Behavior -playful, enjoys petting Evidence of Cruelty seen -n Evidence of Trauma seen -n Objective T = P =80 R =wnl BCS 5/9 EENT: Eyes clear, stenotic ears, yeasty otitis, no nasal or ocular discharge noted Oral Exam: clean teeth PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: intact male MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat. see above note on jawbone CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment: otitis. abnormality of jaw: ddx-Craniomadibular osteopathy vs congenital defect vs noeplasia Prognosis:fair Plan:treat ears with mometamax. radiographs for jaw. there is no specific treatment for CMO, but unless jaw function is compromised, this dog may lead a normal life. addendum: jaw radiograph reveals extensive bony proliferation of the mandible. caudal part of mandible has bony outgrowths that may represent lytic change. tympanic bulla are extensively affected. based on radiographs craniomandibular osteopathy is likey, although neoplasia cannot be ruled out. radiographic consult is recommended. chest radiographs are normal. Upon intake Cinta was very friendly and playful. He allowed the counselor to collar him and take a photo.

Basic Information:: Cinta is a 3 year old unaltered male large dog, he came to his home as a puppy from a friend and was surrendered due to the owner moving out of state.
Previously lived with:: 2 Adults
How is this dog around strangers?: Around strangers Cinta is friendly and outgoing.
How is this dog around children?: He has been around several children and is relaxed and gentle.
How is this dog around other dogs?: When he sees another dog he barks, and is very Exuberant.
Resource guarding:: Cinta is anxious when left alone and will bark and whine. During storms or loud noises Cinta will bark and howl. Cinta isn’t bothered when someone touches his bowl, toys or treats. Cinta isn’t bothered when someone is giving him a bath and will struggle during a nail trim. When someone unfamiliar approaches the home he is friendly and approaches with a wiggle body and open mouth

Medical Notes: The owner stated that Cinta has a chronic ear infection and an Enlarged jaw which is causing a growth under his chin.
For a New Family to Know: Cinta was described as affectionate, friendly, and playful with a high activity level. Cinta loves to lie down with his owner and enjoys playing with balls and tug-a- war with shirts. Cinta is mostly kept indoors and is house trained. He uses the potty on newspaper, but will go on grass or cement if taking outside. He is feed dry and wet food 2-3 times a day and has never been crate trained. He knows commands sit and stay. Cinta is used to walking on leash and goes off leash in the park but stays close by your side.

Look:: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted, ears are back, tail is down, relaxed body posture. Dog allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands.
Sensitivity:: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, eyes are averted, and tail is in neutral position with a relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item.
Tag:: 1. Dog follows at the end of the leash, body soft.
Paw squeeze 1:: 1. Dog gently pulls back his/her paw.

Summary:: Cinta came into the room loose and wiggly, he was friendly and social towards the handlers.
Summary (1):: According to Cinta’s previous owner, when Cinta sees another dog he barks, and is very exuberant. 11/01: When off leash at the Care Center, Cinta is sexually motivated. He follows the novel female dog- sniffing her genitals and attempting to mount her. He take breaks between social interactions, and explore the area. 11/02: Cinta greets an intact male dog with a tense and stiff posture. He maintains a high stance, persistently shouldering up to him and tracking behind intensely sniffing his rear end. He is difficult to re-direct. 11/03: Cinta greeted a calm female dog, and kept to himself and wandered the pens. Towards the end of the session, he did attempt to mount the female dog, but listened to handler corrections.
