A volunteer writes: What’s that? You’re looking for a petite, adorable, tail wagging, snuggly, quietly playful puppy? Cinni is who you’re looking for! The sweetest peanut on the planet, she’s happy being lifted from her top kennel, donning a coat and going outside to go potty. Her tail wags, she shows off her sit, takes treats gently, has lovely leash manners, gives kisses and cuddles, loved playing off leash with a plush toy and is simply too good to be true! Cinni didn’t mind being tethered for some photos, greeting other dogs as we walked, and offering a play bow to a dog in an adjoining backyard pen. What a cutie patootie! She’s so quietly playful and snuggly, getting a bit quietly bouncy from time to time when off leash, I absolutely adore her. Cinni has cherry eye in both eyes which needs to be corrected but it’s a common issue and easily dealt with. Our behavior team agrees that she’s a wonderful little girl indicating that she’ll make a “nice family pet” to a person or family with average dog experience. Come meet our little Cinni….you won’t want to go home without her, trust me.
Cinni came into our center after a member of the public found her as a stray. Finder reports she ran up to the Finder and allowed all handling. During intake, she was relaxed and friendly. Cinni was sociable and affectionate upon entering the SAFER assessment room. She allowed her head to be cupped in assessor’s hands, body soft, tail wagging. Cinni stood still and accepted the touch during Sensitivity item, body soft, open mouth, ears and tail neutral. She followed at the end of the leash for Tag game, approached assessor at end of game. Cinni did not pull her paw back on both Squeeze attempts, tail wagging, licking assessor’s hand. She playfully engaged with Toy and relinquished it easily. Cinni approached the helper dog quickly, mouth open, appearing interested in play. The Behavior Team feels Cinni would do well with an Average family and would make a nice family pet.
