03/31/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Cinnamon was difficult to remove from his kennel showing teeth, growling. Once he was removed from his kennel he walks calmly on leash. Cinnamon was stiff and did not show social behavior he wrinkles his muzzle to expose his front teeth and air snap at the handler. The behavior department feels that Cinnamon is not an appropriate candidate for SAFER at this time. The behavior department feels that he would do best if placed with a New Hope partner who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification before placement into a permanent home. When off leash with other dogs Cinnamon is initially uncomfortable, baring teeth when approached. Over time she becomes more comfortable, soliciting play and eventually mounting some of the dogs. 3/29 update: Cinnamon avoids playful dogs and bares teeth when sniffed.
