01/12/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Cinnabon walks with a low fearful body language on leash. She was fearful and repeatedly attempted to get away from the handler during the assessment. Cinnabon was shy and nervous and trembled during handling, with a fearful body language. She becomes extremely frightened during the tag interaction, tail tucked, stiff body and wrinkles her muzzle to expose her front teeth. The behavior team decided to skip the rest of the handling part of the assessment. During the resources Cinnabon was not interested in toys. The behavior department feels that he would do best if placed with a New Hope partner who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification before placement into a permanent home. Look: 2. Dog’s eyes are averted. Her body posture is stiff and fearful; her tail is low and not moving. She allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 2. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, her eyes are averted, shy body language , mouth closed, lip long, ears likely back, may lip lick. Tag: 4. Dog repeatedly turns quickly away when touched, or repeatedly spins toward the touch. She stands her ground and wrinkles her muzzle to expose her front teeth Toy 1. No interest.
