Observed Behavior – Friendly. Allows all handling. Objective: P = 82 R = 24. BCS 3/9 EENT: Mature cataracts OU, ears have mild yeasty debris bilaterally, no nasal or ocular discharge noted Oral Exam: moderate dental tartar and gingivitis PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic. ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated, urinary bladder is soft and small. U/G: Intact female — urination on table during exam — small amount of blood and several small irregular shaped white, gritty, calculi MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, dandruff throughout haircoat. CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities. Urine dipstick: 1+ blood pH 7. Specific Gravity 1.025. Urobilogen, Bilurbin, Nitrite, Ketone, Glucose, Ascorbic Acid all negative Assessment: Geriatric with cataracts and urinary bladder stones. Prognosis: fair Plan: Xrays of abdomen ordered to assess suspect urinary bladder stones. Recommend New Hope placement and full geriatric workup at local veterinary clinic. Continued daily monitoring for urination (risk for urethral obstruction remains). SURGERY: Permanently waived for spay surgery due to age
