DVM Intake : Friendly,happy, allows all handling, wagging tail  Scan neg  BAR   Clear OU/AU, nndc   OP 1/4 tartar  PLN wnl  H/L reg, no obvious murmur,ssp, lungs clear/eupenic  ABD snp  MSK amb x 4  Integ generalized crusting and scabbing, some lesions have mild active bleeding  BCS 4/9  UG m/i, s/s testes  Neuro a/a  A: Hx of demodectic mange  Secondary bacterial infection  P:Gave Nexgard  Start Clavamox for secondary bacterial infection  Recheck coat and give another dose of Nexgard in 2 weeks, extend clavamox as well  Great prognosis  Waive for surgery until coat is better

Look: 1. Dog leans forward or jumps up to lick the Assessor’s face with tail wagging, ears back and eyes averted.

Sensitivity: 1. Dog leans into the Assessor, eyes soft or squinty, soft and loose body, open mouth.

Tag: 1. Dog follows at the end of the leash, body soft.

Paw squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his/her paw.

Paw squeeze 2: 1. Dog gently pulls back his/her paw.

Flank squeeze 1: Item not conducted

Flank squeeze 2: Item not conducted

Toy: 1. Minimal interest in toy, dog may smell or lick, then turns away.

Summary: Cinco approached the assessor with a soft body. He was social throughout the assessment, allowed all handling, and displayed no concerning behaviors.

PLAY GROUP:

6/6: When introduced off leash to the female greeter dog, Cinco approaches and greets with a slightly tense body, high tail. He follows and continues to sniff the female greeter dog when she walks away.

6/7: Cinco follows and sniffs female dogs intently, does not display play behavior.

6/8-6/9: Cinco is soft and social when engaging with multiple female dogs.

ENERGY LEVEL: Cinco displays a medium level of activity.

BEHAVIOR DETERMINATION: AVERAGE (suitable for an adopter with an average amount of dog experience)
