10/01/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: In the space of not more than 10 minutes in the park with Agatha we received the following comments: 1) Wow, she’s a beauty! 2) Gorgeous dog 3) What a sweetheart 4) Gorgeous white coat 5) She seems SO sweet 6) I wish I could adopt her. Agatha is a seriously gorgeous and sweet dog – I think we’ve established that! Surrendered by her family as they are moving where she’s not welcome, she’s been gorgeously taken care of – her weight is perfect for her size, her white coat gleams with apparent good care and while she’s initially shy she opens up to be a playful and affectionate girl who wants to make friends with everyone we pass. Her leash manners are lovely, she pulls slightly towards birds but not squirrels, loved watching the kids play (we’re told she lived children), didn’t want either of my treats and was a reluctant tethered model for photos. Putting on her ‘serious’ face for the task at hand she lost patience with my fumbling (and it was raining lightly), ready to continue on walking. Wagging her tail at other dogs we pass we know she hasn’t spent time with other dogs in her former home, and on her first play date avoided approach from the male greeter dog. Agatha is an adolescent with years of taking care of and being loved by a new family. Shouldn’t yours be the one?
