08/17/2016 WEB MEMO

08/13/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Chrome came into the shelter as a stray, so his past behaviors in a home are unknown. Upon intake: Chrome was calm and relaxed but became anxious due to the environment. During SAFER Chrome was friendly and playful when he entered the assessment room. He had a loose body posture when interacting with the assessor, allowed all handling items to be conducted without issue. Chrome was relaxed during the tag interaction, and during the resource portion of the assessment. Chrome was easy to handle when engaged with the item. Chrome appears to be sociable, and did not display any behavior concerns, so the department feels can be suitable for an “Average” adopter. Look: 1. Dog’s eyes are averted, with tail wagging and ears back. He allows head to be held loosely in Assessor’s cupped hands. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is waggimg with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is open for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag: 1. Follows at end of leash, body soft. Squeeze 1/2: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Toy 1: No interest.

08/13/2016 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
Chrome was surrender as a stray, so his past behavior around dogs is unknown. 8/13: When off leash at the care center, Chrome greets the other dog with a high tail and lip chatters. Once let into the pen, he immediately mounts the greeter dog. He is slow to respond to the handler’s interruptions.
