PROFILE :
Basic Information:
Chloe is a 3 yr old spayed Mastiff Mix that has no past or current medical issues that the previous owner is aware of. Previous owner has had Chloe since she was a puppy but can longer have her due to moving to a new home which allows the owner to have only 1 pet.
Socialization:
According to the previous owner, around strangers (in the presence of previous owner) Chloe would bark & growl. Once Chloe was taken away from previous owner by ACO, Chloe was friendly and easy to handle. Around adults & children (3 yrs), Chloe is respectful, relaxed, & playful. Chloe would play in a gentle manner. Chloe has lived with 3 other dogs. 2 dogs were spayed Poodle Mixes (Nelly A1103837 & Sophie A1103838) & the other was a Chihuahua. Chloe was respectful & relaxed with all the dogs. Chloe has interacted with cats & previous owner stated that she would chase them in a playful manner. She has never bitten a person or another animal.
Behavior:
Previous owners stated that Chloe doesn’t have any behavioral issues. Previous owner did not bath Chloe, or brush her coat, or trim her nails so Chloe’s reaction to these grooming agents is unknown. Chloe would bark when an unfamiliar person approaches the home, yard, previous owner, or a family member.
For a New Family to Know:
Chloe is described as friendly, affectionate, & playful with a high activity level. When in the home, Chloe is the type to follow you around seeking attention. Chloe plays with any toys. Chloe was kept indoors only & was fed dry dog food. According to previous owner, Chloe is house-trained & would rarely have accidents. Chloe usually goes to the bathroom on the grass or on the cement sidewalk. When left alone in the home, Chloe would be well-behaved. Chloe knows the command to sit & give paw. For exercise, she enjoyed slow & brisk walks with the previous owner. On the leash, Chloe can pull hard or slightly depending on how excited she is and when she would be off the leash, she would sometimes remain by previous owner’s side & sometimes she would wander but come when called. Upon intake, it was noticed that Chloe was very mouthy and was grabbing the leash from the previous owner’s hand.
