05/12/16 21:52 This dog was very nervous during intake. Her tail between her legs, backing away every time I tried to come even a little bit closer. I sat on the floor, holding out a treat. She did not respond. I dropped the treat in front of her, she sniffed and backed away. When I attempted to place a leash around her she snapped. She would not allow me to come close, touch her or pick her up.

05/14/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Chloe was difficult to remove from his kennel grabbing at the rope. She did not show any social behavior. Once she was out of the kennel she walks with a low and fearful body language. Chloe was extremely fearful during the look item and snapped at the assessor with a fearful body language, tucked tail. The behavior team decided to skip the handling part of the assessment for safety reasons. During the resources Chloe was not interested in toys. She does not approach other dog, attempts to exit. The behavior department feels that she would do best if placed with a New Hope partner who can follow up on this behavior in a more stable environment and can provide any necessary behavior modification before placement into a permanent home. Look: 4. Snap Toy 1: No interest. Dog-dog: 2. Dog does not approach the helper dog. Turns body to side in relation to other dog, or exits. Helper: A1073220
