A volunteer writes:
Chloe spells…Family Dog ! Indeed, she was owned since tender puppy hood, nicknamed “Baby” and followed the beat, the ups and downs, the joys and sorrows of her owners. She knows all about children. Indeed, she lived in harmony with five of them and recently had her own litter, twelve little ones…We are told that she was an excellent mother…Chloe who has been beautifully cared for comes with stellar comments. She is friendly, affectionate, outgoing with all, including other dogs, playful and well mannered. She would be house trained and crate trained and accross the board a dog everyone would love to have in their home. Chloe  of course is not the happiest camper here at the care center but she is a good girl and makes do. She comes to the door when she sees a potential caretaker, is leashed in a sec and walks beautifully, indeed relieving herself as soon as we hit the street. She is civil with other pets, polite in playgroups. I think she is just smart and right now is just testing the waters in a world totally foreign to her… Chloe was at first shy with me, then came when I called her and abandonned herself against my chest for caresses. She is a real beauty. Her coat is as white as snow, she enjoys a good weight, appears quite healthy and  has very engaging luminous eyes. She loves treats and will jump or sit for them.Chloe  is waiting to meet you in our adoption quarters. She has proven for four years to be a trusted friend and hopes to do the same with you...

Another volunteer writes: Chloe was a little shy when she arrived at the care center..She has come a long way. Her busy walking log shows how appreciated she is by volunteers. Wonderful comments abound about her. Initially timid in playgroups with her peers, she opened up quite a bit and plays softly with both males and females. She has kept a well groomed body and showed me today how playful she is with the ball…Chloe is a very affectionate gal. Her feelings have not been shadowed by her relinquishment. She still loves to sit with her tush on my foot, lean on me  and poses her head in my lap for caresses..What’s not to love about Chloe, the ultimate friend, playmate and family dog…

PLAYGROUP NOTES:

When off leash with other dogs, Chloe shows brief interest when solicited with soft play.

4/14 update:  Chloe engages in bursts of play.  She offers small correction for mounting.

4/18 update:  Choe greets politely.  She engages in bouts of soft play when solicited.

4/19 update:  Chloe engages in soft play with males and females.

4/20 update:  Chloe continues to exhibit these behaviors when off leash with other dogs.
