04/11/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
04/11/16 19:35 BASIC INFO Chiqui A1070025 is a 5 year old female Chihuahua. Her family got her from a friend and surrendered her and her friend Bernie A1070026 due to allergies. SOCIALIZATION Chiqui is friendly/outgoing with new people. She lived with a child who’s currently 7 years old and was relaxed, playful, and tolerant with her. She plays gently with people. She lived with a small male dog, Bernie, and was relaxed, playful, and played exuberantly with him. They cuddled and played together often and spent all of their time together. Chiqui is friendly with most strange dogs. She plays with small dogs at the dog park and barks at some large ones. She’s never bit anyone. BEHAVIOR Chiqui barks during storms. She enjoys being brushed. She’s friendly with strangers who approach her home/family. She doesn’t mind when someone (a person) takes her food/treat/toy, moves her off furniture, holds/restrains her, wakes her up, or bathes her. She’s nervous during nail trims. Chiqui and Bernie growl at each other when they try to take the other’s food/treat/toy. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Chiqui’s family describes her as friendly, affectionate, playful, mellow, and medium energy. She plays fetch and chase and likes balls and stuffed toys. She lived inside and slept on a blanket with Bernie. She ate dry Pedigree food and got fruits and vegetables as snacks, including cucumbers, carrots, and lettuce. She’s partially housetrained but has accidents (#1) on the floor next to the door about once per two days, sometimes while her family is home. She potties outside in dirt and grass. She’s otherwise well-behaved while home alone. She sits and lies down when asked. She went for slow walks on a harness and pulled on the leash. INTAKE Chiqui had a soft body while I pet her, scanned her (-), collared her, picked her up, positioned her for pictures, and carried her. On the floor, she sometimes ran around with Bernie. They often followed me. When I stooped down, Chiqui stood up and leaned into my lap while I pet her.
