A volunteer writes: Chilli reminds me of a little muppet, a sweet soft toy that a child would love to take to bed with him or her and hug tightly. Chilli is so sweet and eager to come out of his kennel. Leashing him is no problem and he accepts easily a scarf around his neck. Chilli is not a stray but was surrendered to us as his owner had no time for a pet anymore. He is quite a friendly and sociable little guy who can be picked up, carried and kept on the lap. Chilli loves caresses and to be scratched behind the ears. But he is quite matted and his eyes were most likely never cared for, oozing profusely. We are treating him, of course, and I must say that his eyes look now so much better. Sadly, Chilli’s sight is very poor. He walks quite well, though. I guess, he takes his cues from the leash and the tone of his caretaker’s voice. Chilli likes to lay down at my feet, all spread like a fancy hairy rug. He is sooooo cute. Chilli needs a new home and a new family who will love him and care for him for the rest of his life. Chilli is at the Manhattan Care Center waiting for you.
