11/02/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: I think about Chico so much that I accidentally call other dogs by his name! The first time I saw him curled up on his bed, he started thumping his tail against the wall of his kennel, squinting his eyes, and threatening to show me his belly. Needless to say, I probably squealed! He is incredibly cute and very sweet. He has previously lived with children of all ages (he was playful and affectionate with them) and other dogs (he was relaxed and respectful with them). He has been great on leash with me, seems housebroken, and takes treats nicely (he’s a little picky, though…this boy is used to eating people food!). He’s very wiggly, leans all of his weight against me when I scratch is back, and is one of those dogs that looks at me in a way that makes me think he understands every word I’m saying. He makes a big protest when it’s time to go back in his cage, so I try to remind him that that’s where I first fell in love with him, and that surely someone else (who will put him on a couch and not in a cage!) will soon, too! Please come see Chico at Brooklyn ACC and see if that might be you!
