10/28/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
10/28/16 18:16 Chickpea is a young female APBT. She was found in an apartment after her family was evicted. Chickpea was brought to ACC by police. They report that she was friendly, affectionate, and playful with them. Chickpea had a super loose, wiggly body, open mouth, and wagging tail while I pet her, scanned her (-), collared her, and took her pictures. She whined and continued wiggling when she saw 3 small dogs nearby. She jumped up and leaned into me while I pet her. She walked around and sniffed things as we walked through the hallways. She sometimes lied down next to me briefly while I worked at the computer. She saw when asked and took treats gently.
11/05/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Chickpeas are one of the most versatile legumes out there and our tiny jumping bean of a puppy is no exception, she’s chock full of flavor and up for anything! Bounding from one adventure to the next, Chickpea has energy for days and loves to run around doing ‘zoomies’ or leap for the sky whenever she sees a toy and her affections are just as enthusiastic as her play style. Those tiny paws rarely stay still (except when on a lap) and she’s definitely not the right pet for a couch potato yet for all her nutty energy she’s always ready to listen and already knows commands for come and sit which she follows nicely in exchange for a treat. There’s a smart little lady hiding behind her silly tomboy exterior and the more you can teach Chickpea the happier she’ll be. Tiny but mighty, she’s a strong puller on leash yet accepts a harness without complaint then walks fairly well and seems to be house trained too and as we pass other dogs she meets them with enthusiasm. A happy handful with so much love to give, life is definitely going to be that much spicier and more fun with Chickpea by your side so don’t delay, order up a delicious date with her today!
