06/27/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Chex and girlfriend Bocachica made their way to us as their owner was not able to care for them anymore. Chex was lost and shy when he came in, but I was pleased to see that a few days down the line, he had become perkier and very attuned to his caretakers. Chex is a very good walker who does his business on the way (no marking) and meets other little dogs in a civil way, even up close and off leash in playgroups. He is really cute, nicely groomed (his coat is clean, a little wiry indicating his Terrier’s genes) and owns very gentle dark button eyes. He is a little chunky but nothing that 3 walks a day and a good diet could not take care of. Like Bocachica, Chex likes to sit by my side, ask for the lap and even beg standing on his hinds. He is highly kissable and huggable. Chex might have had a seizure while in our care and will need to be checked by a veterinarian while in the care of a foster or adopter. He is an adorable, friendly, sociable and affectionate little guy who is so worth your attention and your love. Chex is at the Manhattan Care Center.
