History : stray Subjective: BARH Observed Behavior – very sweet. Easily handleable. Did well for all medical handling and procedures Objective: P = wnl R = eupneic
BCS 3/9 EENT: Eyes clear with mature cataracts OU, absent menace OU, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted Oral Exam: severe dental disease, oligodontia, and fractured teeth, no oral lesions noted PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, grde 4/6 HM, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated U/G: FI, very large multilobulated MGT in caudal left mammary cahin ~5-6cm-does not seem painful at this time, no vulvar d/c MSI: Ambulatory x 4 with cachexia (MCS 1/3), skin free of parasites, thinning hair coat CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities. Assessment: Geriatric One large MGT on left caudal mammary chain Blind with mature cataracts Severe dental disease Grade 4/6 HM
Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC With placement: Rec 3 view CXR
Rec cardiology consult Rec removal and histopath of MGT Rec geriatric workup
Prognosis: Guarded SURGERY: permanent waiver from surgery due to age and illness
Monitor condition/recheck comfort level: S/O: Q/BARH. Allows all handling. Resting quietly in cage most of day but intermittently will be active, barking EENT: mature cataracts OU, absent menace OU, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted, severe dental diseaseH/L: grade 3-4/6 HM, Lungs clear, no coughing ABD: Non painful, no masses palpatedMS: Ambulatory x 4, areas of thinning hair U/G: Female, ~5-6cm multilobulated MGT in caudal left mammary cahin, small ulceration at most ventral point, non painful, no vulvar d/c Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC Scheduled blood work and radiographs. Poor long term prognosis
