09/26/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
09/26/16 17:37 Cheddar’s finder had him in her house for two days before he was brought to the ACC. He was reported to be friendly with her large dog and her cats. He would let the cats rub up against him. During intake, Cheddar was barking at smaller dogs with ears back and trying to run towards them. He allowed for collaring. He was very excited, jumping a lot. He attempted to play with and chew on his rope leash.
09/30/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Cheddar is not at the back of his kennel. He, at times, gives a little bark and bounces on his four… Me! Me! Me! All right, we are going out. When I see an athtletic looking pooch (even small–Cheddar weights only 48 lbs.) and a Bull Terrier, I think to myself: be prepared, he might pull, or he might not be fond of other dogs. But I got it all wrong with Mr Cheddar. He is a dream on the leash, well mannered, a perfect “sitter” and a very friendly and sociable character. And that tail of his…wagging non stop. He owns a lovely smile and great ears that required 1001 photos to get them up and running. Cheddar rather likes the “seal” look. Cheddar seems very much housetrained. He does mark his territory but is very proper with all other dogs met, big or small, males or females. He looked, puzzled, at two of his peers barking aggressively at him. “Cool it, guys” he seemed to say. I was also told that he was very well-behaved in playgroup with another pooch. Cheddar loves treats to the point that he tried to “steal” from my goodies bag. He is a teensy weensy impatient when I do not get them fast enough out of my pocket. Cheddar is not skinny, though, and just the perfect weight as well as very healthy looking. He is really cute, too, in his marble cake coat . Cheddar is at the Manhattan Care Center, waiting for you. Come and meet him soon. He so wants to be your friend.
