A volunteer writes: Charlie joins us as his owner passed away, and while he’s in mourning he’s doing his best to make new friends. He’s a gorgeous blonde, beautifully groomed and the perfect weight for his size. Charlie is likely housetrained going potty the moment we were out the door, and pulls on the leash as we walked to the park. We chatted during our walk, Charlie looking up at me from time to time with a wag of his tail and serious eyes. We sat on the bench in the park for a time out to enjoy beautiful morning, Charlie jumping up on the bench to lie on my lap and give me some kisses. Alert to our surroundings he notices everything and when some students approached us he was happy to quietly enjoy the attention. As I filled out the survey the students were taking Charlie lay at my feet patiently waiting. He’s such a good boy, sweet, easy and affectionate, doing the absolute best he can in what is clearly a sad time for him. He’s been in group and greets briefly and engages in some bouts of play. Good boy Charlie! As Charlie Brown famously says: ” Live life for what tomorrow can bring, and not what was taken yesterday. Every day is a gift.” Charlie (Brown) is looking for his Snoopy, his Lucy and a home to call his own. Won’t you come meet him today?
