I could not believe my eyes when I stopped in front of Murdock’s kennel. So many memories came back to my mind, making me almost cry…. A full fleshed Airedale with beautiful and vibrant markings, button eyes, a perfectly sized tail and so ready for his summer shave. A number of Airedales have crossed my life and each of them was a joy to own. Murdock is particularly big and could be a Mountain Airedale, the result of breeding larger and larger adults. Murdock has also been overfed. Airedales like to eat…Murdock is quite stressed although better today than yesterday. He likes to be caressed and talked to. He is strong, pulls on the leash and is very much housetrained. I have never met yet an Airedale who was not…Airedales who are Terriers are quite stubborn and when they do not want to do something, they will not unless trained to obey from a very young age. Murdock, clearly is will ful but eventually listens … He needs to know his caretakers and to settle down.Airedales are dominant and like to make sure other dogs are aware. Murdock is no exception. He is lovely with females but meets males with a high(stump of ) tail and proud stance. He might even bark. That is how they are. You take it or you leave it…. Murdock will have my visit at the care center quite frequently. I am already in love with him. I hope an Airedale’s lover will cross his path and soon take him home as his or her forever best friend.
