A volunteer writes: An adorable peanut in a clean and groomed coco color coat, ginormous caramel eyes, a wagging tail, the perfect weight and I’m happy to introduce you to Caesar. All hail Caesar!!!! He’s so quiet in his arrival kennel, watching me pass by with other dogs as he lays his head on his paws. Easily leashed he steps out carefully, goes potty the moment we’re out the door and walks slowly to the park. He’s a stop and smell the roses kind of a pup, making for a relaxing, easy stroll. A pleasure! Noticing but ignoring other dogs we pass, his tail wags gently as he checks up with me often. In the park he poses for pictures, doesn’t mind being tethered, shows off his sit and takes treats gently. We sit on the bench, Caesar starting off next to me, and slowly ending up on my lap as we share a kiss and a hug. So sweet!! While on my lap he nudges my hand for more petting, gets a bit mouthy (no pressure) as we play and I have to remind myself that he is indeed a puppy. Caesar was found tied to a pole and brought to our care, but it’s clear he enjoyed good care before joining us. When I passed his kennel a couple of hours later he was sleeping the deep sleep of puppies and it was a joy to see. Let’s get Caesar home to enjoy his deep sleep on a comfy bed surrounded by a new family. Tail wags and puppy kisses await his new person.
PLAY GROUP
When off leash with other dogs, Caesar engages in wrestling play with males and females. He becomes a bti sexually motivated if play slows down.
