A volunteer writes: Like a sweet, little church mouse, Cazilia waits to be noticed in a vast and cavernous space. She is lovely and petite at 41 lbs with a patch over one eye and white socks to her knees. Cazilia came in to our care with her housemate Armin (A1073324), who’s just as sweet and gorgeous as she. What a pair. And what wonderful bookends they would make if anyone had the room! Cazilia is the quieter of the two and seems a touch younger, more wide-eyed, though both are 2 years-old. In searching for anything remotely negative to say about my time with our little mouse, I come up completely short. Cazilia is terrific on leash, like a cloud on a string, and could show Emily Post a thing or two when it comes to manners. She not only sits for her treats she sits UP for them! Perching on her hind legs as if she’s sitting on a swing (or a pew). In a sea of furry faces, all begging for your time and for your heart, Cazilia quietly asks with her eyes only. “Please pick me?” Take a moment to listen. I guarantee you’ll find her impossible to refuse. Cazilia is waiting in adoptions at Manhattan’s ACC.
SAFER
Cazilia pulls a bit on the leash. She was calm and relaxed during handling. Cazilia was distracted, focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test. She was not interested in toys
Cazilia did not show any concern during the behavior assessment. The behavior department feels that she can go to an Average home.
Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions.

PLAY GROUP
When off leash with other dogs Cazilia is initially unsure, slowly approaching the helper dog (female) with a low wag. She then begins to sniff and wag, roaming around the pen.
Cazilia greets male and female dogs politely. At times, she engages in bouts of soft play. Cazilia offers correction for mounting. The behavior deparmtent feels that Cazilia may be placed into a home with a social, gently playful dog. Slow, positive, introductions are always recommended to ensure compatability with resident dogs in the home. She arrived as a stray with another dog, but any in-home behaviors with dogs are unknown.
