01/13/2017 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: I probably can’t articulate why, but I just love Cash! He is a big boy with amber eyes and a meek demeanor. He was a little shy and nervous when we first met, but now softly and feverishly wags his tail whenever we see each other (he offers the same wag to admirers we encounter, too!). He has walked nicely on our outings and has sort of a quirky, but endearing gait, like his back legs are always slightly bent. He keeps his cage clean and is quick to relieve himself outside, eagerly sits for treats (they’ll earn you his undivided attention!), and has recently revealed a love for tennis balls. He rests his head on my lap when I rub under his chin, kisses my hands, and is just really nice to be around. I think your life could be much richer with Cash in it, he is so sweet! He would love to meet you at Brooklyn ACC!

MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 01/04/17 During his medical examination, Cash appeared fearful but allowed all handling. RECOMMENDATIONS: Experience (Suitable for an adopter with a previous amount of dog experience) _X_No young children (under 5) Potential challenges: _X_Fearful/potential for defensive aggression (The behavior department recommends allowing Cash to approach his potential new adopters at his own pace. Cash appears to easily startle upon loud noises/sudden movements, for this reason we advise against a home with young children at this time. Force-free, reward based training is advised when introducing/exposing Cash to new and unfamiliar situations.) _X_Resource guarding (We cannot be certain whether any guarding or possessive behavior may appear in a home environment, but we recommend adopters comfortable with safe management and modification of guarding behavior in case it does.)
