11/27/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Handsome Carmine came to us on Thanksgiving Day, brought by two policemen who had only good things to say about him. What a gorgeous dog, dressed in a shiny tiger brindle coat wrapping a well built body softened by attractive almond shaped eyes. Carmine was friendly then, accepting caresses and even a treat. He has remained the same, two days after our first meeting. He eyes me from his kennel. “So..when is my turn…?” Carmine is leashed in no time. He is strong but nothing that I can not manage. He attends to business as soon as we hit the street and only marks slightly his territory along the way. He pulls toward other dogs but not in an unfriendly way. I bet he would love to meet and play. Well, Carmine will have his chance at mingling with his peers in our playgroups. Carmine loves jerkies and dry liver. He so can sit to get more and makes eyes……so sweet, so convincing that I cannot say no to more and more treats…. He looks so obedient and begging with dignity. Carmine knows how to make his case. Free in a pen, he explores a little , comes back when I call him and rests by my feet, ready for caresses. Although rather quiet in his kennel, Carmine prefers the great outdoors. Just throw a treat before him and he will follow instantly, have a drink and settle with a tasty rawhide in his mouth… Carmine is quite a likable gent, super good looking, sociable, friendly , healthy and ready to be your faithful companion. Come and meet him soon at the Manhattan Care Center and make him yours.
