06/17/2016 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Captain is simply ridiculous! He has the body type of a corgi or basset hound and as we make our way down the hallway we’re met with responses like “He’s so cute I can’t even look at him!”, “What is THAT?”, or just school-girl-esque squealing! He’s great on leash, seems housebroken, and eats up all of the attention that comes his way. He loves to be petted and is very waggy and engaging. He likes to play fetch, but tuckers out pretty quickly (at least on warm days!). He loves treats and already knows “sit’ and “paw.” He was surrendered as a stray with another dog, but his behavior during his stay with us suggests he’ll likely do best solo. But with his character and infectious charm, Captain has all you could ever want from a dog! Come check him out at Brooklyn ACC and leave with a smile plastered on your face!
06/14/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Due to Captain’s behavior around other dogs in playgroup, the Behavior Department feels that he should go to a home with an experienced adopter with no other dogs. Please see GROUPBEHAVIOR notes for more details. SAFER 6/11/16: Captain came into the shelter as a stray, so his past behaviors in a home are unknown.
