Medical Summary 03/30/17 History – Stray dog, brought in by police as DOH bite hold, no medical concerns noted. Microchip scan neg. Subjective Observed Behavior – Tense and wary, growling and resisting handling, muzzled for safety. Objective: BARH. mm=pink, moist, CRT<2 s. P = 120 R = 32 BCS = 5/9 ORAL: Not assessed. EENT: Mild nuclear sclerosis OU. No oculonasal discharge. Both pinnae thickened and scarred distally. PLN: No enlargements noted. H/L: NSR, NMA. Lungs clear, eupneic. ABD: Tense, non painful, no masses palpated. U/G: Intact male, both testicles palpable. MS: Ambulatory x 4, no lameness. Skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat. Mod amount of blood on ventral neck and cranial thorax – no wounds found. CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities. A: Age est 10 years. Scarring on pinnae consistent with prior aural hematomas. Otherwise apparently healthy. P: On DOH bite hold. Monitor while at BACC. Good prognosis.
