Candy came into our center as a stray so behaviors in the home are unknown. She was fearful upon intake and allowed minimal handling. She walked nervously into the SAFER assessment room, drooling with her tail tucked. Candy froze and tried to bite during Look item, therefore remaining tactile items were skipped. She showed minimal interest in Toy, sniffing before turning away. When off leash with other dogs is a little nervous with her tail tucked. She wanders the yard, mostly keeping to herself. Candy must be placed with a New Hope partner. 5. Dog freezes and tries to bite. Toy 1. Minimal interest. Dog smells, licks and mouths, then walks away.
