Buzz(Cupid?) was brought to us with little friend Luz as their owners became homeless. Both have been outstandingly cared for, look healthy and are perfectly dressed. Like many pets who were treated as such and loved, Buzz and Luz are having a hard time but slowly and surely, they are opening up and letting us in their lives. I love them both and have attended to them every single day i have been at the care center. Buzz is gorgeous and of mixed ancestry. His markings are beautiful. When we first met, Buzz rumbled a little when I showed up at his door. It was short lived and he came forward, got leashed and off we went for a walk. His tail was at first between his legs and slowly came up as time went by. We met uneventfully other dogs, ignored pigeons and squirrels, did our business without marking and sat on command for a well deserved treat for good behavior. Buzz loves treats and his Rotie side transpires here. We “made friends” on our first encounter and with Buzz, I always get my best reward: an award winning smile of happiness and thankfulness to be in company. I love his face, framed by hounds ears, his laughing eyes, his waggy tail and his gentle smile. He absolutely loves caresses and gives little kisses on my hand. Buzz looks still a little wary in his kennel where he usually lays very quiet. He was a bit uncomfortable in playgroup with a female peer. I know that he is not at his place and once in his or a home environment, Buzz will be what he most likely always was, a great , loyal and loving pet…Buzz is at the Manhattan Care Center, dreaming of a home sweet home…
