A volunteer writes: Open any fashion magazine and you’ll see that plus sizes are totally “in”, making Miss Butter way ahead of her time! Adorably chunky Butter was surrendered to our care due to the NYCHA ban. Butter lived with her former family since she was an itty bitty puppy so this change is hard on her and she’s doing an admirable job of making new friends. We’re told she’s super friendly to everyone and loves attention and petting. Indeed, she sat by my feet while I took some notes, laying her head on my leg so that I could pet her, closing her eyes to savor the touch. We’re also told she plays gently with small children, and is playful and gentle with other dogs and with cats. She loves to sleep and had multiple beds in her former home, and is quite comfortable being by herself. She loves baths and being brushed, and doesn’t even mind getting her nails trimmed. Butter knows how to ‘sit’, ‘stay’ and ‘give paw’ when asked, and of course a reward treat is always appreciated!! I loved meeting Butter; she’s great on leash enjoying a slow walk after going potty outside, wags her tail at everyone we pass, loves to cuddle and have some attention and is so calm and easy you’ll swear you’ve known her forever. If a
new, quiet and easy best friend will complete your life you’ll want to meet Butter today. Always happy to listen to your secrets, give you a kiss and a tail wag when you need it, Butter is hoping to find her new best friend quickly. We’re rooting for her as she’s an awesome girl. Come meet her today.
