A Little Bit About Me…

A volunteer writes: A potential adopter alerted me to Buddy, swooning in front of his kennel, emphatically saying, “I’m obsessed!” I leaned in to see a lanky, leggy dog, biscotti colored with creamy markings and sweet freckles on his snoot. Ah, I see what they meant) Quickly leashed and off we went. Buddy does appear to be house trained, and moves with purpose, so a front clip harness will keep regularly scheduled walks pleasant. Buddy has lived with another dog and cat, but best to introduce resident pets to ensure harmony. He can get a little barky with dogs but Buddy has enjoyed dog parks, and likes a lot of activity so a home that would be able to channel his activity with (puzzle toys, and Kongs for example) and enthusiasm would be a good fit. Buddy is one of those dogs who is all smiles, both in his handsome face and his whole strong and sweet caramel-coated body. His happiness is apparent as soon as we leave the shelter for our walk. He has so much to explore! Look at those children! And these flowers! And this leaf! Smiles all around. Buddy appears to be house-trained, doing his business quickly and without a fuss. He was a little distracted by some of the other dogs in the park, but quickly regained his composure each time and sat or stood nicely upon my request. Buddy appreciated treats, but did not beg. He joyfully accepted scritches and snuggles without being pushy or jumping on me. Who doesn’t need a friend like this to pal around with? Come meet good boy Buddy today at the Manhattan Care Center.
