Positive# 985121003807249 History : owner surrender; was attacked by two large dogs a few days prior to surrender Subjective: BAR Observed Behavior – growling initially; after hand feeding, he warmed up but only performed limited exam today; will need to sedate to address wounds and perform more thorough exam Evidence of Cruelty seen – Evidence of Trauma seen – Objective BCS 6/9 EENT: no ocular or nasal discharge noted; unable to perform aural exam today Oral Exam: did not perform PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: no murmurs or arrhythmias; eupnic, normal lung sounds ABD: did not palpate U/G: intact; 2 scrotal testicles present MSI: LF-intermittently non weight bearing lameness; significant wound to digit III pad, toenail appears to be hanging in abnormal position laceration across dorsal aspect of R antebrachium with mild swelling, no significant bleeding multiple superficial abrasions along entire L side of face superficial wounds to R distal paw bruising on RH CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Rectal: not performed Assessment Dog bite wounds-most significant to LF digit III; will need sedation to explore further Plan Rimadyl 75 mg PO SID x 10 days Tramadol 100 mg PO SID x 7 days Cephalexin 1000 mg PO SID x 14 days Sedate tomorrow to address wounds further and perform more thorough exam Prognosis: good SURGERY: Okay for surgery
