A volunteer rites:
Prince Lucky is always very calm in his kennel. He is one pretty Spaniel with a full and curly chocolate and cream coat. Prince L. accepts easily my leash and walks nicely around the block, doing his business on the way. He climbs and goes down the stairs pretty well. Roaming our yard is to his like. He is  a little shy but likes to be caressed mostly after we spent some time together. We are pals now…as we count many walks in the few days he has been with us at the care center. Prince L. is with us as his master could not accommodate a pet anymore. He comes with excellent comments, lived in peace with kids of all ages and even a cat. His care has not been optimal for reasons we do not know and Prince Lucky will need  not only a good grooming but veterinary attention and a new owner who likes to care for the elderly. He is a very sweet old guy  and is without any doubt , so worth your attention. Prince Lucky is at the Manhattan Care Center, dreaming to be yours.
PROFILE:
Buckley A1114734 is an older male white, black (now aging grey) medium sized curly haired dog who was surrendered by a friend of the owner’s due to the owner’s personal problems as of 3wks ago. They aren’t able to keep him any longer but stated he’s friendly, well behaved, slept on the floor or couch, ate chicken mixed with dry food, is housebroken & is walked 3x a day. The finder stated Buckley has been around a cat that he got along well with and children of different ages that he would ignore and or stay away from. Recently the friend has noticed a foul smell coming from Buckley’s ears (from a possible infection) and some lumps around his body. They also stated that Buckley hasn’t allowed them to bathe him like before.
During intake Buckley appeared nervous/shy. He would give me “whale eye” and back away. To make him more comfortable handling was done with the friend’s assistance. Buckley allowed to be scanned (-), collared and taken pictures of. He walked nicely alongside us and allowed me to pick him up and lift him into a kennel as he didn’t want to enter on his own. Buckley also allowed me to remove the leash from around his neck.
Play Group:
6/11: When introduced off leash to dogs in the care center Prince Lucky greets politely, then roams the yard.
