I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 01/22/2017 from NY 10305, owner surrender reason stated was COST.

01/22/17 15:49 Basic Information: Bruno is a 2 year old male Pit Bull Terrier Mix that has no past or current medical issues that the previous owner is aware of. Previous owner found him as a stray about a month ago but can longer have the dog due to financial issues. Socialization: According to the previous owner, around strangers, Bruno is friendly and outgoing. Around adults, Bruno is respectful and playful. With adults, Bruno plays in an exuberant manner. Bruno has been exposed to an infant but has not interacted with any other children. Bruno has only been exposed to seeing other dogs on relief walks but has not interacted with any other dogs so his behavior is unknown. Bruno has never been exposed to cats so behavior around them is unknown. He has never bitten a person or another animal. Behavior: Previous owners stated that Bruno doesn’t have any behavioral issues. Bruno isn’t bothered when any food, treat, or toy is taken from her or when he is pushed or pulled off furniture. Bruno tolerates being bathed, having his coat brushed, or nails trimmed. Bruno isn’t bothered when an unfamiliar person approaches the home, yard, previous owner, or a family member. For a New Family to Know: Bruno is described as friendly, affectionate, excitable, and playful with a medium activity level. When in the home, Bruno is the type to follow you around seeking attention. Bruno likes all kinds of toys but especially tennis balls. Bruno was kept mostly indoors and was fed Alpo dry food. According to previous owner, Bruno is partially house-trained and would accidents a few times a week. Bruno usually goes to the bathroom on the grass. When left alone in the home or yard, Bruno would be well-behaved. Bruno knows commands sit, give paw, and lay down. For exercise, he enjoyed brisk walks & running with the previous owner as well as in the yard. On the leash, Bruno can pull hard or slightly depending on how excited he is and when she would be off the leash, he would wander but come when called.

A volunteer writes: Bruno is a one-of-a-kind dog! I can imagine being upstate on vacation and having him by my side. He would be the perfect companion for those long morning walks. Bruno would fit so well in any landscape with his beautiful golden coat, and soft brown eyes. He is a dream to be with, and behaves so well whenever we are together. Bruno is middle aged now, so he is very easy going on the walk and is never high energy with me. Charming, handsome, and fun, Bruno would be a joy in almost any home. Behavior toward dogs: Bruno has only seen dogs while on relief walks, has had no reaction. Behavior toward cats: Unknown FG/RG: Unknown Bite history: None reported Housetrained: Bruno is partially housebroken, mostly goes outside on grass but may have accidents a few times a week. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture, mouth closed Tag: 2.
